Pittsburgh Summer Internship Program
Internships not only lead to careers–they help students find their passions.
The Pittsburgh Summer Internship Program (PSIP) provides financial support and resources to connect Dietrich College undergraduate students to their first internship experience at a non-profit, start-up or small business in the Pittsburgh area.
The goals of this program are to:
- offer students the chance to gain their first meaningful internship experience
- provide organizations with capable interns to support their work contribute to the strength and vibrancy of the Pittsburgh community

Inside Summer Internships
Over the summer, Tim Wang, Emma Reed and Jordan Gilbert all participated in PSIP and worked in a variety of fields, from tech to education.
Three Dietrich College students helped to raise nearly $4,000 for a local nonprofit this summer through their involvement in the the college’s Pittsburgh Summer Internship Program (PSIP).
One Carnegie Mellon University student spent her summer assisting Latinx and Hispanic families within Pittsburgh through an internship with the non-profit Casa San Jose.
